The Road to Skull Creek Ranch

It’s taken us a while to find a place to settle down and call home. We both grew up as AG kids, always lending a hand with other folks’ farms and projects, but never had a spot of our own that felt just right. We knew that when we finally found our ranch, it would be our forever home. No more moving, no more “someday.”

When we came to East Tennessee, we knew we’d found where we wanted to put down roots. We rented a little cabin while we looked around, and after a couple of years of scouting hills, valleys, and backroads, we finally found the perfect property. Along the way, we started up our first LLC, 4 Wheel Outpost, an off-road business we plan to grow into a brick-and-mortar shop.

But before we could get too far, life took a turn. When Hurricane Helene hit, we put the ranch search and business plans on hold, loaded up and hit the road to deliver supplies and assist those affected by Helene. That path eventually led us to Bat Cave North Carolina—a community devastated by the storm and cut off from the outside world. Alongside fellow volunteers, we pitched in, helped clear roads, provided supplies, and became a team. We worked alongside 2 locals Mark and Lynette Staton. Their antique store, HipHen Uniques,  was demolished by Helene. Instead of rebuilding right away, they decided to s

et up a supply hub in its place. We all helped them to set up what is now Bat Cave Disaster Relief supply hub.

What began as camping out and clearing debris has grown into a full-scale relief hub that provides supplies, construction assistance, and ongoing recovery work for the community.

Today, we continue to serve one week each month, boots on the ground. We spend the rest of the month assisting with online operations while also devoting our energy to building our offroading buisness and Skull Creek Ranch.
